“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel and the anti-Gospel. This confrontation lies within the plans of divine providence. It is a trial which the whole Church… must take up.” Karol Cardinal Wotyla (Sept. 1976)

Joe Biden: Suddenly A Witness for His Faith?

“Remember [Joe] that you are dust and unto dust you will return.”

Vice President Biden showed up for the announcement of Gary Locke as the nominee for (third-times-a-charm) Secretary of Commerce yesterday with ashes on his forehead, bearing witness to his Catholic Faith and reminding us all that we are assured, one day, to be face to face and judged by Our Creator.

Joe Biden has earned a rating of Zero from the National Right to Life voting committee over the past two years enforcing that he has never stood up for helpless human life in the womb, and prefers not to be a witness for his Faith in this respect.

Ashes, his chosen method of witness, are passively simple to get, require no effort, and could gain him support with 'Catholic' Democratics; while saving babies would be extremely confrontational and could lead to great personal loss for him in his Democratic Party. Somewhere in Colorado there is an Archbishop having an aneurysm at the hypocrisy.
