“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel and the anti-Gospel. This confrontation lies within the plans of divine providence. It is a trial which the whole Church… must take up.” Karol Cardinal Wotyla (Sept. 1976)

A Moment to Pause...

As my first full month of blogging ends, I would like to thank all those who have visited my blog. When I first started this blog, I thought only two people would want read it. One was my wife, who has very little free time with our children, and the other was my mother, who has not mastered the internet.

Thankfully, some others came. This month I have had close to 400 unique visitors, which is somewhat shocking. I am thankful that many share our Roman Catholic Faith and our dedication to the "culture of life".

Special thanks to super-Catholic Leticia over at Causa Nostrae Laetitiae for announcing my arrival and Tina for introducing me to blogging. Additional thanks to other Catholic bloggers who felt my blog was worthy of a link: Return of the Cradle Catholic ; The 3 Mass’keteers ; Gloria Tibi, Domine and all others.

Also, specific "shout outs" to my loyal readers in North Carolina, Maryland, New York, New Jersey and Calgary.

Going forward, I will do my best to provide quality posts worthy of your time and the Faith we share.

Many thanks, God Bless!

No need to thank, brother.

I enjoy your blog especially the latest political posts. As a conservative independant, my choices for 08 leave me with a monster headache. Quite Frankly, I am thinking of sitting it out this year (I have said that before but never stuck to my guns) or going with Libertarian Bob Barr.

JP-

Voting for McCain will be as exciting as taking your sister to the prom. But if the other person who is gonna' ask your sister will end up severely hurting her, you bite the bullet and put on the tux.

I will vote for McCain only to stop Obama and have some chance at conservative Supreme Court Justices.
